tell ya what...go with a Trek 5500 and old Ultegra components and kick ass at half the price!!! When I was racing in europe back in the 80's the U.S. National team showed up at the Milk race with a mix of Ultegra 600 and 105 components...this was in the beginning stages of STI and everything was being tested, the end choice was the Ultegra stuff! I raced on Ultegra components for years on many frames (Trek, Aegis, Quattroassi, Specialized and a hand built frame from the UK) and that pretty much was based on the fact that Dura Ace may be a little better with a polished finish...but the Athlete on the bike is what matters!
OH...I went with the 3.6 and a Kona Stuff...now looking at a Stinky
