prep for winter storage and painting
Hi. After a rehab stint getting pulled straight on Karl Hens Celette bench my 82 930 is real close to seeing paint, unfortunately my window of reasonable weather and temperature opportunity has all but closed here in Buffalo NY. The panels were taken to bare metal, epoxied and the small amount of body work completed. the surface is blocked to 220/320 and planning on shooting another epoxy 3:1:1 coat at which point will have to pack up until the spring. Is there recommendations or anything special I should do in preparation to store the car? And what would the process be to pick up where I left off? Was planning on two coats of the 3:1:1 now in order to wet sand 600 before laying the basecoat, midcoat and clear when I have better temperature management. Is an adhesion promotor recommended for the hard to reach areas? Anything anyone would suggest or do different given the situation? Appreciate any feedback. Best, Tom
