Not a lot got done on the car in the last week, but I did make a significant upgrade to the garage with a shiny new compressor so that I can do some sand blasting / painting tomorrow, when it should be 65F and sunny.
I finally got the new transmission mount and was relieved that it would fit on the torsion tube, but both mounts were as far off center as they could be. If the transmission mount dimensions are spot on, that would confirm that the holes on the torsion tube are ~2mm off.
I'm somewhat concerned that if the transmission mount holes are 2mm off, the suspension mounts will be as well. The question is: Do I return and hope to be 3rd time lucky or make do with the one I have? I'll probably make a separate post with this question, since I feel like I need to apply the full power of the Pelican brain trust.
