My Go-Kart had inboard brakes in 1966!
The description sounds like they turned a disc brake inside out, making the pads rotate and the disc remain stationary. That's revolutionary?
Whatever. They do need to do something about the brakes on EVs. Conventional disc brakes need to be used often to keep rust off the discs and keep the moving parts moving. Moving the friction part of the braking system inboard and protecting it from the elements would eliminate that problem.
