I tinted mine with 70% all the way around - I don't get any distortion normally - but I typically wear Polarized sunglasses - and I do get a lot of visual artifacts and shimmering off of surfaces outside the car - sides of cars on the road, the road surface itself, leaves on trees, etc... I'm not sure the brand or if this is typical of Ceramic tint... It was annoying at first, but now I'm used to it...
I had it installed late in the season, so I don't really have any good evidence that it is keeping my car cooler, but I expect it will.
