I'd missed ^this^ update, but glad to hear that things cleared up and even the skiing didn't cause any major issues!

About two or three months ago I fell over and landed on my knee. It wasn't that sore so I ignored it. Still feels a bit sore but I put that down to being an old guy and things take time to heal. But a couple of days ago it's swollen up. Dr google told me it's Prepatellar bursitis and not to worry about it too much.
Jyl, how long before yours went away?

Congrats, folks will often spend $3-5k getting a set of tit's added. Since it's on your knee, you can fondle your knees while you're sitting around.
Bursitis isn't usually a big deal. Although being swollen sounds like a PITA.
Besides the usual oral NSAIDs, you can also (mentioned earlier in this thread) use topical stuff like Voltaren or Pennsaid. Our daughter is a PA for a top orthopedic surgeon in Houston, and has been a PA for orthopedic surgeons for ~13 years.
