We were under a tornado watch here in Opelika when I went to bed last night around midnight. It had been raining hard at times and then would just stop. When I took the pups out before going to bed, it was spitting rain. There was a nasty looking line of thunderstorms moving across the state, and I was awakened by thunder around 2am, and that was it. I never heard any rain at all, and I fell back asleep pretty fast. I guess the weather dissipated for my area of Alabama anyway, as the cover on my mower, which usually gets blown off, didn't move an inch.
