Today I get the 911 out from under the car cover, and over into the work bay. It is on the scissor lift and on the mechanical stops. It will be cold outside tomorrow, but I have a nice heater in the garage.
I "get" to remove the alternator. Oh boy! It is starting to rattle, so the bearings are dying. I will take it to a local re-builder and he promises he uses American or Canadian made bearings. It might take a few days, and the 911 can sit on the scissor lift on the mechanical stop. It is wonderful to have the car up at a standing up height, so not bending over or working on my knees.
I report back when it is time for it to go back together.
