This is one of the best descriptions of the evolution of the "performance shocks" .
Note that the digressive shock was developed for racing cars !!! not street cars !!
The shock was then redeveloped into the regressive a much better all around shock.
Most of us can't afford the 5 way multi adjustable shock , they are amazing .

Either just an oil shock or a very low pressure gas shock, ie, "koni yellow external adjustment"
