Yes, it’s way too easy to take on new projects. I have a number of old BMW and Yamaha motorcycles from the 60s that I’m also restoring, as well as a 1975 VW DOKA. It’s hard to stop, even though it sometimes feels hopeless.
As for the incorrect color inside the cabin of my Targa, it’s because the people who repainted it once were careless with the masking. So, it’s not a factory mistake, but rather paint from the respray in numerous places where it shouldn't be. However, it’s good to know that the '69 models should have the trunk and engine bay painted black. They shouldn’t have the same color as the body on the outside. Also, doors and other parts should be painted a bit differently on the inside.
