I got my alternator out. Ready to go to thee rebuilder tomorrow, if the roads are OK.
The alternator came out of the fan with just one drop using the 2x4 method.
My fan and housing are showing the 198,000 miles of use. What is the best method to clean them? Dry ice cleaning? I don't want any damage to the soft magnesium parts.
Any preferred coating to put on them while they are off.
