I think these are great cars, but they made a lot of them and they are relatively inexpensive now. My 2004 TT is still in great shape and everything works (including air suspension). It has new tires and brakes on all four as well. Other than that, just lower control arms and the passenger window mechanism have been replaced (did it myself) ...so very reliable (other than the plastic coolant lines issue). That said, I think it would probably only bring about $5K if I were to sell it. Of course, it has over 200k miles. It still looks great but it lacks a lot of the safety features that newer cars offer.
Pretty much all have had coolant tubes replaced with metal ones as Porsche eventually paid for that (recall/settlement).

And honestly, the lack of nannies is a plus, the only thing I'd miss is adaptive cruise.
