Our son and his partner have been living in Alhambra for a few years now, they are safe and are lucky that the Eaton fire has stayed a bit North of them.
His Partner's parents and siblings have a home in the foothills of Pasadena and got evacuation orders a couple days ago, so they moved in for the time being.
Thankfully last they knew their house is OK.
Seeing the scope of devastation I'm soooo thankful they are OK and situated a few miles from the fire, I've been on the phone with them a couple times a day since the winds kicked in... I sure felt helpless being this far away, but I know Aaron and Maria are cautious and would have bugged out with their dogs if necessary.
One of the side trips we took last year while visiting was a hike up into the Eaton canyon.
I get chills now knowing that area is completely burned.

This brings back memories of Lahaina, it's going to be a very long time before anything in those areas seem "normal"
If any of the LA fires were intentionally set I too hope the perpetrators are either caught and jailed for a good long time or they perished in the nightmare they created.
