Years and years ago, I used a borrowed Stuska dyno on my 911 engines. Fast forward a few decades and I opened an engine restoration shop for 356, 912 and pre-'73 911s. I built three running stands for those types of engines. I hate to be leaning into an engine compartment while tweaking and tuning the fresh engines. The running stands weren't too difficult to engineer and build but I don't think I would have done then if it was only for one or two engines. Three years ago I bought a used Stuska dyno and still haven't had the time to hook it up.
