On number 2, I disagree. It IS an esoteric zen art. Where you can immerse yourself to become as dumb as the fish and to enlighten yourself with the peacefulness and beauty of the river and its surroundings.
And as far as gear. I also get mine used or on sale. But truthfully, if I posted a picture of my rods and reels you'd be yelling "Honey! Come and see this! You think I'm bad, look at all the stuff this guy's got!".
Let me know if you need some Simms waders new with tags. Or Galvan fly reels, I think I cornered the market on the OB Series.
