I didn't know this was a regional thing, I though FDs all over the country did this...
This facility is quite close to my house, some weekends in the summer FDs come from all over Long Island come and compete.. The place rocks... Its basically a drag strip with a structure 3/4 way down, some run off and a return loop so the competitors can line up for there next run
