The people who are really to blame are the developers that put those houses up in the first place.
Who in their right mind, puts houses so close together that you can't get in between them to fight a fire?
And for all those thinking it's Gavin's fault have never had a blaze going that is more than a campfire.
Do you people really think the populace is going to pay for infrastructure that is built to handle the worst case scenario when building a neighborhood like Pacific Palisades?
No, they won't because they'll say it'll never happen.
As for the fire hydrants running dry, What the hell do you expect when they're being taxed at a rate they weren't designed for?
As for the reservoir being repaired, again, who was going to step up and pay for the repair of the cover?
For a solution on how to rebuild I suggest the city look south to how San Diego handled their last fire and the reg's they've put in to prevent it from happening again.
