I bought the Rennline HD engine/transmission mounts from our host, and I'm planning on installing them this spring. As many of you may know, they are inserts only, which go into the football shaped steel supports that bolt to the chassis. They slip into the supports from the top and bottom.

My question is regarding the existing factory ones that I'll be removing. Are the inserts of these mounts easily removed? Do they come apart similarly to the Rennline HDs? Is the easiest way to remove the inserts a matter of cutting the rubber part with a knife? Or must they be pressed or burned/melted out?
