Lost my canine buddy from the past decade and a half.
My little shadow and obligation 3-5x/day
Dog was a unexpected Christmas gift from an ex-gf served in a paper bag. We had enough critters already. He thought he was her dog. Pure wild puppy energy until 3-4 years old. Pulled my shoulder out of the socket a few times. Un-trainable and stubborn at times. I was still learning too. And after that he was pure dog love for another decade. His gift to me. Stubborn sum o bich till the end. We went so many places together. This 'Puggle' dog had talent: As a pup one leg went completely loopy when running but later in the dog park he was the fastest in the pack when chasing a tennis ball. He'd deliberately pushed it through the fence on purpose and make me walk around. And then bark at the fence like a maniac. All the other dogs crowding around to see what has happened. Drama dog. He'd pick up two and carry them around in that narrow muffin. Show off. He'd walk up to strangers drop it in front of em, look up look down, and demand they throw for him lol. We did volunteer gardening for years at my dad's old memory care place and the ladies absolutely loved him. Good times.

-"Go outside for a walk?" He would spin around twice. Some circus animal genetics =Pug.
-But if a strange dog peed in the front yard a 4" wide mohawk strip of fur would rise along his entire spine. Full pooch combat mode =?
-I think there was a bit of Labrador and something else in there.
My regret was not getting him a dog friend so they'd wear each other out. The poor cat would try to snuggle but he'd reject kitty. I never fixed that imbalance and should have.
