I have tried to watch Game of Thrones at least a dozen times and can’t get through the first season. Thought I would love it because I am a big fan of LOTR. People tell me I need to stick with it because it gets better…..what say you?

I got through about 5 or 6 episodes of GOT before losing interest.
No, that's not quite right.
I never developed any interest in the series to lose,
I started with a bit of curiosity about what all the hoopla was,
and after 5 or 6 episodes I lost the curiosity.
But I made it through ALL of she serieses (plural) about vikings.
there are at least 5 of them out there. Good stuff.
i watched all the episodes of suits,
but after the second season it became a chore.
I really liked blacklist but fast-forwarded through all the soap opera parts.
James Spader is awesome but the rest of the cast was just riding his coat tails.
