Here's another twist.
The city I live in designated my home as being qualified for the Mills Act to protect historic properties.
As a mid century modern home it has NO attic what so ever, lots of floor to celling glass and all the electric is distributed over the roof instead of through the walls.
One home in our neighbor hood burnt down real quick because of the way it was built, but the city allowed a duplicate home to be built with some material upgrades only.
