I used ~10 ft^2 of MLV only on the rear dash/engine wall and maybe ~14 ft^2 of DP on the rear dash, engine wall, rear seat area, and floor. The DP was cut into small pieces to fit in the areas that could have a resonance (think vibrate like a drum). I intentionally was very strategic in the placement in order to prevent installing too much and adding unnecessary weight.
After all was said and done....the sound that still came through was acceptable, not harsh, no "tinny" sounds like I missed any portions of a panel that were vibrating. I was satisfied enough that I haven't messed with it now for over two years...still happy.
