My theory is that his weight/size was stunted by his ordeal of being in the wild for so long and becoming emaciated.
He lives the life now ....

We have a feral Great Pyrenees on he property that weighs in around 85 lbs. She is 75% Pyrenees and 23% Maremma sheep dog (also a large white herding dog) so I guess there is a floating scale as to the weight.
Pyrenees are pretty resourceful when it comes to surviving on their own.
