[Start of the 1968 Sebring 12 Hours] "I can't help but smile seeing this vintage photo from the start of the 1968 Sebring 12 Hour race. After the LeMans style start cars coming down the front straight three and four abreast. David Hobbs in a Gulf GT40, Ludovico Scarfiotti in a factory Porsche 907, Allan Moffat in a Shelby Mustang, Scooter Patrick in the Lola and so on. Also in that mix are Pedro Rodriguez and Hap Sharp driving Corvettes plus many, many more. What can you say, this was the golden age of endurance racing. BTW, Porsche won in '68. Photographer unknown
