andino -- main advantage to the Blaupunkts is that they provide both subwoofer (line level) and line level left/right channel outputs, which allows you to run them with external amps/dedicated subs. Combine a blaupunkt with an amp that allows for DSP with a microphone and add a sub to reproduce bass (a small one will fit under a seat) and you should have a much nicer sounding stereo.
