New to the 911 technician forum spend most of my time from the past two years on the 930 super charged forum sorting my motor . .. I'm a 356 guy had a few 911 coups over the years. . I currently have a 80 sc targa with a steel body turbo kit. And a mildly modded rebuilt 76 930 3.0l row turbo Short stroke. The car is rust free looks and runs great after a full rebuild of everything . It's my fair weather driver... My current issue is I can't get past the wind noise when the top is on. I played with the adjustment no success.
Do all targas have wind noise? I would be happy to silicone the top in place if I knew it would quite it down.. or install a hard top if I could find one. Any thoughts read all the horror stories and attempts to replace the seals. . I was thinking that a thin strip of that stuff credit cards come with that sticks them to the paper would be perfect placed on the top windshield frame then sandwich in place with the top... So what have people done to quite the wind noise. In fair weather drivers?
