If your AC/heater is not directing the air flow to where you want, you might need to check the vacuum manifold under the console that controls the vacuum actuators that move to redirect the air. Access that from the driver's side panel. Remove it and find the multi-colored vacuum lines that go to each actuator, check that they hold vacuum. Additionally, check the black rubber vacuum manifold itself for cracks and splits.
