I have used my old iPhone 11 Pro hooked to the Bremen and playing music from my phone, and using the map function. It perfectly interrupts the music, gives directions, and goes back to playing music. I did that for several hours, and I have to admit, I did not check if it was charging, but is kept it alive. The battery in my antique phone is getting weak. I have to charge it every night with just moderate use. After several hours of driving, playing the music, and the maps, I had a lot of battery life left.
One thing I like also is the memory card. I have some of my favorite harder rock on it, and all my music on the rear USB port. Nothing like rocking out to La Grange at the appropriate volume while rolling down the back roads. Or In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida to keep me awake.
