I use the latest Garmin GPS for longer trips and sounds like I may be okay with "charging" the iPhone 16 (Actually a Pro Max) without having to use the Apple/Google map features on it but just listening to music directly plugged into the rear usb.
Won't be able to test it until I drive the car up from Texas next month so only time will tell.
Really hope the usb-c sticks around for awhile and works with these units...as I stated really sad to see my old Kenwood KIV-700, 701 removed as they were such tasteful HUs, even for an 80's 911.
I will be removing from my 911 and old Land Rover as they don't support the latest phones...infact, both still use the 30pin connection, now 15 years old or so.

Was able to use adapters for the lightning connection but not for the usb-c.
Excited about the Bremen, blue tooth and phone calls will make it feel like a new car.
Thanks for the feedback...
