True story : a few years ago I was working in my man cave garage . I had both overhead doors open . My 2 post lift is red in color . Next thing I knew a hummingbird flew in and couldn't figure out how to exit even though the doors were open . It was lunch time so I went in the house and had lunch . I figured with me gone it would leave .
Came out after lunch and it was still flying around at ceiling level . I guess it was attracted to the red lift . I asked my wife to come out to the garage to see what she thought . She assessed the situation and said she would be back in a few minutes . I continued to work on whatever I was doing . She came back with a freshly filled feeder and stood in the garage and held it at arms length . Roughly 2 minutes later the hummingbird landed on the feeder !!!!!
My wife slowly backed out of the garage and once outside the bird continued eating for a few seconds and then flew off . It was one of the strangest things I have ever seen . I call my wife the hummingbird whisperer
