True story : a few years ago I was working in my man cave garage . I had both overhead doors open . My 2 post lift is red in color . Came out after lunch and it was still flying around at ceiling level . I guess it was attracted to the red lift . I asked my wife to come out to the garage to see what she thought . She assessed the situation and said she would be back in a few minutes . I continued to work on whatever I was doing . She came back with a freshly filled feeder and stood in the garage and held it at arms length . Roughly 2 minutes later the hummingbird landed on the feeder !!!!!

My wife slowly backed out of the garage and once outside the bird continued eating for a few seconds and then flew off . It was one of the strangest things I have ever seen . I call my wife the hummingbird whisperer

Awesome! Smart lady. Hummingbirds have to eat frequently, so that guy was probably tired and hungry after you had lunch. Presumably, they all know what a hummingbird feeder looks like and was happy to find a meal.
