Since my 912 is no longer a 912, because it now has
- SWB-to-LWB (911 '69-71 steel trailing arms)
- 934 transaxle
- Elephant coilovers with Bilstein 911 S struts, GT3 front suspension, Boxter brake upgrade, monoball trailing arm bushings
- Tarrett's 935 spring plates and monoball camber plates
- 6-8 month "welding party" for shock towers, spring plate mounts, trailing arm mounts, camber plate housing, secondary engine mounts, fuel cell mount tabs, radiator V-plate, mods for GT3 subframe installation
- 930 turbo fender flares
- 1973 RSR 2.8 composite front & rear bumpers
- Speedhut gauge upgrade
- WEVO 930 shifter
- MOMO steering wheel
about the only thing that's 912 are the new wheel bearings, new steering box, rebuilt upper steering shaft joints.
The powerplant is a new 430 HP 6.2L LS3, for which I pulled and drove the heads to TSP (Texas Speed) and got CNC of ports & chambers, double valve springs, titanium retainers. I also personally installed a TSP stage 2 cam and Comp trunnion kit (needle bearings for rocker arms). TSP said they dyno'd new engines with what I did and results are 580-590 HP. (fyi - cam upgrades place significantly more stress-travel on valve components, so everything needs to be upgraded.)
