Ditto. I find myself reading every word in the beginning and end up skimming over the text. As I’ve gotten older, it’s gotten harder to read and comprehend.
Growing up, I was a prolific reader of books into my 30s and 40s. I read the newspaper every day, starting at about age 12, when I delivered the paper. Now at 66, I did the majority of my reading online.
Our kids are 29 and 30. We read to them very early and got them reading on their own. Ms. Rocket took them to the library every week to get books. I laugh, thinking about little rocket man, because when he was starting to read, he said he would never be able to learn to read. Then like a light switch, he got it and was a prolific reader.
