Maybe I just cut off so the tips and two outward pipes are flush and leave remaining.
I have a muffler shop to weld on new tips. They said either leave the existing muffler on and they will take care of or put on cut up muffler and they can work with that. They don’t care. My thoughts are they quoted me 2-300 for job but I don’t think they know what is involved though I sent them pictures. They said they might have to lower muffler to get the weld all the way around (top end of price). Being a boxster, I think the whole muffler needs to come off due to design. Could be wrong but seems that way.
My other thought is, why cut up a perfectly good muffler when I have one that is only good to modify since I already cut up. Keep original on shelf or sell.
