Bill Jordan was another very accomplished exhibition shooter back in his day. He is also responsible for the S&W Combat Magnum, the .357 magnum on the small K frame. Prior to that, S&W used their much larger N frame, the same as the .44 magnum, to house the .357. The smaller K frame is much easier to pack around all day, especially in a duty holster, getting in and out of a car.
Two S&W revolvers, N frame on the top, K frame on the bottom, the same Combat Magnum Mr. Jordan is using, now known as the Model 19. Quite a difference in size and weight.
