It's been MANY years, but I have experience. Back in the day, at the FLAPS you could get exhaust clamps and HD exhaust clamps. THe HD clamps were, at the very least thicker steel. You could tighten/clamp the HD clamps down until you dimpled/crimped the metal. Nothing was going to fall off that way. As a matter of fact, you could take the clamp off and pound it with a hammer and have a hard time getting it off. If you used the regular, cheaper clamps, they would break before you managed to get them that tight.
