Remove the air cleaner and air flow sensor from the engine compartment. Using a large adapter, connect the smoke machine to the large rubber J tube.
A smoke machine will help find vacuum leaks in the system. I would use a boost tester as a better test for a turbo, inasmuch as any minor tears in one of the rubber boots or hoses will push out with boost pressure.
