For storing your exterior design project over winter, ensure the epoxy is fully cured before storage. Keep the car in a dry, temperature-controlled space to avoid moisture buildup, which can cause surface contamination. A wax and grease remover wipe-down before resuming work in spring is essential.
When picking up, lightly scuff the epoxy with 600-grit before applying basecoat. For hard-to-reach areas, an adhesion promoter can help, but if the epoxy is prepped well, it may not be necessary. Also, consider a tack cloth wipe-down before painting to remove any dust buildup.
