Snakes are one of my phobias, I'm happy that the West side of the mountains in Wa only has Garter snakes and Rubber Boas (no really, not made of rubber at all).

My last long backpacking trip with my Son way up into the Alpine Wilderness in 2010, we backpacked past 6 lakes to get to this one that my big Brother introduced me to when I was 16, wow time flies!
