The 923 is for transmissions 915.67 or 68.
The 911 is for later types. My guess is that you have the early type (923), since that's what you already have on passenger side.
The easiest way to find out is by looking at the CV on the wheel side. If the wheel side has bolts, you need the older (923) type. If you don't see any bolts you need the later 911 type shown above, that is the one that has a non detachable axle and is the most expensive version.
