Every 2 years or less I get blurred vision in my right eye. I visit an ophthalmologist and they prescribe a steroid eye drop and some matching pills + eye lid cleaner and a night time antibiotic thick eye lubricant. This January I got it again and the Dr. did some scans and cataract was added to the verbiage. I am totally bummed. Now after the rounds to stuff I mentioned in the opening my eyes are much better. As of January I no longer wear contact lenses (soft) and am 100% on glasses. The change has been remarkable. I see much better and am not as sensitive to bright light as I was as a FT contact lens user. I have a very dark visor on my Arai helmet and get far better results now with glasses.
Wow that was a long intro...if you are still with me thanks! I am terrified about eye surgery. Losing my vision would be worse than losing my hearing or taste, even a limb or two. My fear is why I never got corrective Lasic surgery all these years. Can someone clue me in on what the risk factor is for cataract procedure? I am not a candidate yet but the Dr says it will be on my horizon. Terrified of that on my path. Thanks.
