Of course there are great female pilots now. Why not, they have some natural traits that might make them better as long a they become risk averse.
Remember this was 50 years ago when female pilots were few and far between. This one came highly recommended by a pilot that few my dad on photo shoots.

Another cute flying story involve a C210, a girlfriend and a trip to LAX. She was catching an evening flight to Denver so I told her I would fly her to LAX in my C210. An upgrade obviously from the C170. Flying in was no issue, straight in IFR approach to get me out of the pattern, but apparently they wanted to teach me a lesson for flying into a busy international airport in this little 6 seater.
Anyway, landed, taxied to the terminal, got clearance to taxi to 07L and to get there I had to cross one runway to get the other. They had me stop between runways then left me there with my engine running for over an hour. That little 40 minute round trip fight ended up costing me nearly twice as much fuel.
