been a long time since i drained a tank - if i remember i think i just siphoned out as much as possible - then i pulled the hose off the pump and ran the pump into a container - then i plugged the line out of tank and pulled the tank - it still had some fuel in it but it was not too heavy - not sure if this is the easy way - be careful
