It is in the engine bay. The soft portion of the line connects to the engine at the fuel pressure regulator where the fuel starts the return trip to the fuel tank. This line transitions to a green colored hardline that runs from the engine bay to the back of the tunnel.

The soft rubber line is crimped onto the green hardline. If you want to replace the rubber portion of that line you need to remove the whole assembly and send it to Len. I've been told that this line is not prone to leaking but I figured that while I had the engine out I would get all the lines done at once.

The first picture below shows some of my fuel lines in the box as delivered from Len after he worked his magic. The blue arrow shows the fuel return line, the green portion is steel and the black portion (which is crimped onto the steel portion) is a rubber line with a flexible plastic sheath.

The second picture below shows my son working in the engine bay. You can see the flexible black portion of the fuel return line just in front of his right bicep and indicated with a blue arrow.

The third picture below shows where the fuel return line connects to the output of the fuel pressure regulator on the engine.
