My cat's blood work was done a couple months back when she was not doing well. she had high white blood cell count and there were indications of poor liver function. They wanted to do xrays, ultrasound and other testing that was going to be in excess of $1000. I consulted my vet buddy after sending him the bloodwork and he suggested a specific injectable antibiotic that will last in their system up to two weeks.
Since I would not sign on for all the additional testing the vet would not return my calls (did a week later). I got a hold of a local mobile vet who saw us in two days, gave the injection she suggested that matched what my buddy had recommended. Helped significantly, that and recommendation of an OTC supplement that helps in restoring liver function. Still giving her that dry supplement daily. She is doing better, out all day again exploring the forest and doing her thing. She is 13 years old so I was not gunna pony up for anything further than the $300 blood work, and the $150 for the mobile vet house call and injection. Good luck with the kitty,
