Transmissions in higher mileage Tahoe/suburban must be the week link. We had to replace the transmission in her 2010 while she was traveling. That was done at the dealer and was ridiculous money.

Now, we’re looking proactively to get it done at a reputable/lower cost transmission shop. I’ve read there are several things that need to be upgraded.

The truck would not start this morning, which is one reason we had the transmission serviced. No crank, no start. We thought maybe it was the park neutral switch, which was replaced. We thought it was about battery, which we replaced a couple weeks ago. So with a new battery and park neutral safety switch, we’ve gotta figure out why it won’t start. Maybe the ignition switch?

Edit: no crank, no start. Battery is brand new and load tested. Transmission Park neutral switch replaced.
