The documentary on Amazon, (or one of the streamers), is really good and thorough but also sad. He really opened up his life for it and his son, Jack, narrates because Val could not talk very well anymore.

When he was a kid, his father bought him and his brothers small movie cameras, (maybe Super 8?), and he documented absolutely everything in his life including Juilliard , early acting roles behind the scenes, etc...
