There are benign and malignant renal neoplasms.
The vast majority of small renal malignancies do well after treatment.
Depending on exact position and vascular supply- they may be able to do a partial nephrectomy, although even small lesions sometimes need a complete renal resection.
Find a good doctor, and trust them- not a bunch of bozo's on the internet.
Yes, I am an MD-- I stage these lesions all the time. The vast majority do fine.
