You are passing through some pretty amazing country and "what to see" really depends on your interests.
Coming from Calgary you have probably had your fill of breathtaking glacial canyons, waterfalls, trees, bears, moose ho hum. Spending time in and around the Four corners region is quite marvelous and very different than north of the border. Bryce Canyon, Zion, Arches, Canyonlands are all pretty amazing and each has its own character much like the Hawaiian islands. I could spend a month easily in these parks and not get bored. Worth a look.
