I sold my one year old diesel Lupo (because I wanted to buy a Carrera as weekend car; I now commute by bus and train) and that Lupo is a great car: feels just like a "big" car on the inside (yet you know the size of it...)and, yes, it is e c o n o m i c a l. Really fun car, very quick off the traffic lights, quality build (OK, I'm not comparing it to an SC!).
I think you would be much better off buying a Lupo for your day-to-day "business" and your SC for what it's best at: dry weather fun distances.
